Japanese: 自殖性植物 - じしょくせいしょくぶつ（英語表記）autogamous plant

Angiosperms that reproduce primarily by self-pollination. The rate of self-pollination is generally high, but in some plants it can be below 90%. Fertilization within the same individual is called self-fertilization, and this form of reproduction is called selfing. Self-fertilization occurs in two ways: when dioecious flowers have separate female and male flowers (neophytic pollination), and when both male and female organs are present in one flower (homophytic pollination). However, dioecious flowers have a higher rate of out-pollination, so they are classified as allogamous plants.

おもに自殖によって生殖する被子植物のこと。自殖率はおおむね高いが，植物によっては90％を下回ることもある。同一個体内での受精を自家受精といい，この形式による生殖を自殖という。自家受精は雌花と雄花が別々になっている雌雄異花のときに起こる受粉(隣花受粉)と，一つの花の中に雌雄器官がそろっている両全花のときに起こる受粉(同花受粉)との2種類の形式で生ずる。しかし，雌雄異花のばあいは他殖率のほうが高いので他殖性植物に該当する。
