Japanese: 市場価格 - しじょうかかく

A price that is formed through market competition to balance supply and demand. It is also called a competitive price and is distinguished from a monopoly price. A competitive price is determined where the demand and supply of a product in the market match, but the price also fluctuates in response to relative changes in demand and supply. Conversely, the price also acts to determine the supply and demand. In a competitive market, prices also fluctuate unstably, rising and falling around the production price in the long run.
