He was a nobleman and a member of the court nobility in the mid-Edo period. His pen name was Goshotei. He was the son of Gon Chunagon Jitsuzen. In 1758 (8th year of the Horeki era), he became a councilor and Chunagon, and in 1768 (5th year of the Meiwa era), he became a Gon Dainagon with the rank of Shonii (Senior Second Rank) and retired from his post. He was knowledgeable about court nobility, and left behind many books, including Kanrei (reports of precedents for various ceremonies) and records of ceremonies held at the time, as well as court nobility books such as Kinpi Misho Kaitei, Kuji Kongen Sho Kaitei, and Jisoushuro, and the diary Kinkazukyoki.
