Cyclopentadiene

C ₅ H ₆ (66.10). It is present in the low boiling fraction of coal tar and in naphtha cracking by-product oil. It easily dimerizes at room temperature to form dicyclopentadiene, which can be thermally cracked to regenerate cyclopentadiene, so it is usually manufactured as a dimer. Industrially, cyclopentadiene, which is contained in the C ₅ fraction by naphtha cracking at 10-25%, is fully reacted, then distilled and purified to produce dicyclopentadiene, which is then thermally cracked to obtain cyclopentadiene as needed. Colorless liquid. Melting point -85 °C, boiling point 41 °C. 0.8048. 1.4440. The cyclopentadienide ion produced by the extraction of protons exhibits aromaticity. Cyclopentadiene is widely used in organic synthesis as a conjugated diene in the Diels-Alder reaction, and a group of cyclopentadienyl complexes are known. Industrial uses include the synthesis of ethylidene norbornene, the third component of ethylene propylene rubber, and as a raw material for agricultural chemicals. C₅H₆(66.10)．コールタールの低沸点留分，ナフサ分解副生油中に存在する．室温で容易に二量化してジシクロペンタジエンとなり，これを熱分解するとシクロペンタジエンを再生するため，通常，二量体として製品化される．工業的には，ナフサ分解副生 C₅ 留分中に10～25％ 含まれるシクロペンタジエンを十分に反応させた後，蒸留分離し，精製してジシクロペンタジエンの製品とし，必要に応じてこれを熱分解し，シクロペンタジエンを得る．無色の液体．融点－85 ℃，沸点41 ℃．0.8048．1.4440．プロトンが引き抜かれて生成するシクロペンタジエニドイオンは，芳香族性を示す．シクロペンタジエンはディールス-アルダー反応の共役ジエンとして有機合成に広く用いられるほか，一群のシクロペンタジエニル錯体が知られている．工業的用途としては，エチレンプロピレンゴムの第三成分エチリデンノルボルネンの合成，農薬原料などがあり，またジシクロペンタジエンから誘導される化学製品が，近年，種々開発され，新しい石油化学工業分野を広げつつある．[CAS 542-92-7]
