Japanese: 地押 - じおし

In the Edo period, this was an informal land survey, also called jizume. The fields and fields' quality and stone mounds were left as they were, but the land survey records were revised by re-surveying the land area. The results were recorded in the jizume register and jizume register. There were cases where a survey was conducted at the request of the village government, such as when there was a lot of movement among the peasants who owned the fields, when the land use changed drastically, or when a dispute arose over the land boundary, making a survey necessary, or when the feudal lord wanted to uncover hidden fields. However, there were also cases where a proper land survey was called jizume, and in the case of a small amount of cultivated land, a mawarikenchi was conducted instead. In 1885, the Ministry of Finance conducted a large-scale land survey, completing the land tax reform project.

江戸時代，地詰(じづめ)ともよばれた略式の検地。田畑の品等や石盛(こくもり)は従前のままとし，反別(たんべつ)を測量しなおすことで，検地帳の記載を修正する。その結果は地押帳・地詰帳として記録される。田畑を所持する百姓の移動が多かったり，地目の変動が激しかったり，また境相論(そうろん)となって実検が必要になったりなど村方から要請されて竿入れが行われる場合，あるいは領主側が隠田(おんでん)を摘発するために実施する場合などがある。ただし本来の検地をも地押という例もあり，わずかの耕地の場合は廻り検地をもって代えた。1885年大蔵省により大規模の地押調査が実施され，地租改正事業を完了させた。
