The basic method of dramaturgy in classical French drama. Also known as the "three unities" or "three unities." It refers to the three coincidences of time, place, and plot, and furthermore, the theory that events in a play must take place within a day, in the same place, and be consistent from beginning to end. It is said to have originated in Aristotle's Poetics, and the 17th century French playwright Boileau asserted it as an absolute and immutable law. Racine, Corneille, Molière, and others left behind masterpieces based on this law.

フランス古典劇の基本的劇作法。〈三単一〉〈三一致〉とも。時・場所・筋の三つの一致を意味し，さらに演劇における事件は一日以内，同一の場所で行われ，発端から結末まで一貫したものでなければならないという理論。アリストテレスの《詩学》に始まるとされ，17世紀フランスのボアローが絶対不変の法則として主張。ラシーヌ，コルネイユ，モリエールらがこの法則のもとに傑作を残した。
