Suan-xue qi-meng (English: Mathematical Enlightenment)

Japanese: 算学啓蒙 - さんがくけいもう（英語表記）Suan-xue qi-meng

A Chinese book on mathematics. Written by Zhu Shijie of the Yuan dynasty. 3 volumes, upper, middle and lower. Published in the third year of Datoku (1299). 24 genres, 259 questions. It was lost during the Ming dynasty and brought to Korea, where the first Korean edition was made around the time of Sejong of the Yi dynasty (reigned 1419-50), and was re-imported to China in the 14th year of the Jiaqing era (1809). The contents were written as a guide for beginners, and the introduction and explanation of tianyuanshu (a type of algebra) are particularly noteworthy.

中国の数学書。元代の朱世傑著。上中下3巻。大徳3 (1299) 年刊。 24門 259題。明代には亡失して，朝鮮に伝えられ李朝の世宗 (在位 1419～50) の頃朝鮮初刻本ができ，嘉慶 14 (1809) 年に中国に逆輸入された。内容は初学者の手引となることを目的として書かれたもので，特に天元術 (一種の代数学) の入門，解説が注目される。
