A former town in Hakui County in northern Ishikawa Prefecture. Located in the western part of the Noto Peninsula, it is mostly hilly. The town is centered around Tokui at the mouth of the Tokui River, and Fukuura Port in the south was an important port for shipping on the Sea of Japan during the Edo period. In addition to fishing, the town produces vegetables and tobacco. The coast near Fukuura is home to the scenic Noto Kongo. Incorporated into Shika Town, Hakui County in September 2005. 石川県北部,羽咋(はくい)郡の旧町。能登半島西部にあり,大部分は丘陵地。富来川河口部の富来が中心で,南部の福浦(ふくら)港は江戸時代,日本海海運の要港であった。水産業のほか,蔬菜,タバコを産する。福浦付近の海岸は景勝の能登金剛。2005年9月羽咋郡志賀町へ編入。123.47km2。1万213人(2003)。
