Argo - Argo

Japanese:
Argo - Argo

A huge constellation seen low on the southern horizon on a late winter evening. Argo is the name of a ship that appears in Greek mythology, the giant ship that Prince Jason of Iolcus, the great capital of Thessaly, sailed to Colchis to acquire the fleece of the Golden Fleece (Aries). Since ancient Greece, this constellation has been divided into four constellations: Vela (Sail), Puppis (Pittstag), Carina (Mast), and Carina (Keel) because it is too large. Later, the 18th century French astronomer Lacaille renamed Carina to Compass, and each was made independent as an official constellation, and today it is no longer called Argo.
