〘 noun 〙 To abandon one's traditional religious beliefs and convert to another religious belief. To change one's religious beliefs. ※Kasuga Gongen Genki Ekotoba (1309) 14 "Later, when he spoke to the monk, he naturally disliked him and followed him because he had no intention of converting."
