Located in Satomen, Tabira-cho, Kitamatsuura-gun, Nagasaki Prefecture, this vast lowland archaeological site is located in a rice paddy at an altitude of 16m and dates from the end of the Late Jomon period to the beginning of the Middle Yayoi period, with the center dating back to the beginning of the Middle Yayoi period. Dolmen are scattered among the rice paddies on the site. Several excavation surveys have been carried out continuously since 1972, and a variety of remains have been found, including a water gate, a creek-like structure with bank protection facilities with log stakes and wooden stakes driven into both banks, more than 30 pit structures for storing nuts, and a post-hole building. 長崎県北松浦郡田平町里免にあり,標高16mの水田中に位置した縄文時代晩期末から弥生時代中期初頭にかけての広大な低湿地遺跡で,中心は弥生時代中期初頭にある。現地表の水田中には,支石墓が点在している。1972年以来継続して行われた数次の発掘調査によって,水門や,両岸に丸太杭や板杭を打ち込んだ護岸施設のあるクリーク状遺構,30基以上の木の実保存用の竪穴遺構,それに掘立柱建物など多様な遺構がみつかっている。
