Sada [town] - Sada
A former town in Hikawa-gun, eastern Shimane Prefecture. Located in the middle reaches of the Kandō River, most of the town is forested. The town produces timber, and is also famous for its shiitake mushroom, grape, and livestock farming. There are also sewing and textile factories. The town is home to Susa Shrine. In March 2005, the town was incorporated into Izumo City along with Hirata City, Taki-cho, Koryo-cho, and Taisha-cho in Hikawa-gun. Area 109.91 km2 . Population 4,643 (2003).
