〘Noun〙① A type of hakama. A long, loose pair of eight- width hakama with a string threaded through the bottom hem, which is tied around the ankles when worn. They are also called "hoko" ( cloth hakama) because they were used informally when wearing the sokutai at morning ceremonies, but they gradually came to be made of silk, and the texture, color, pattern, and structure differed depending on rank, official position, age, and season. 〘名〙① 袴(はかま)の一種。八幅(やの)のゆるやかで長大な袴で、裾口に紐を指し貫いて着用の際に裾をくくって足首に結ぶもの。朝儀の束帯の際に略儀として用いる布製の袴ということから布袴(ほうこ)ともいうが、次第に絹製となり、地質・色目・文様・構造なども位階・官職・年齢・季節によって異なった。奴袴(ぬばかま)。さしぬきの袴。※宇津保(970‐999頃)俊蔭「女の御料に、袿一襲・袴・小袿・さしぬき」※宇治拾遺(1221頃)一「青鈍のさしぬきのすそ破れたるに」② 能装束の袴の一つ。裾にくくり緒があり、膝の下まで内にまくりこんでくくる長い袴。公達(きんだち)、大臣などの役のときに使う。※わらんべ草(1660)一「金春、金剛、観世、宝昌、何も於二志気の時一、差抜(サシヌキ)、(かりぎぬ)也」
