Aérospatiale [Company] (English spelling)
The largest national aircraft manufacturer in France. Its official name is Société nationale industrielle aérospatiale (SNIAS). It was established in January 1970 by merging the national aircraft manufacturers Sud-Aviation and Nord-Aviation with the missile manufacturer SEREB. It is famous for being the manufacturer of the Concorde. In addition to aircraft, it develops and manufactures helicopters, missiles, spacecraft, engines, hydrofoils, oceanographic research vessels, aviation electronics, marine equipment, and industrial electronics.
