Financial inflation

Japanese: 財政インフレーション - ざいせいインフレーション（英語表記）financial inflation

A type of demand inflation in which total demand exceeds total supply due to a sudden increase in government spending caused by deficit financing. This is typically seen when the government issues government bonds underwritten by the central bank as a source of revenue. In particular, deficit financing is called government bond inflation.

赤字財政による財政支出の急激な増大により，総需要が総供給を超過し物価水準が高騰することで，需要インフレーションの1種。歳入の財源として政府紙幣を乱発したり，公債を中央銀行引受けで発行した場合に典型的にみられる。特に赤字国債によるものを公債インフレーションという。
