Imara - Gonro
〘Noun〙 Under the ritsuryo system, those who were government-owned low-class citizens such as official households and official slaves were freed and newly made good citizens. Their names were registered in the Shudenryo and distributed to the various shrine priests, who were engaged in menial tasks such as drawing water and cleaning, and were provided with food and clothing by the government. *Shoku Nihongi - Tenpyo Hoji 5th year (761), August 7th month, "In Imayoshi , 366 people and one . Compiled in 2 with the left and right capitals, Yamato, Yamashiro, Ise, Sanga, Shimousa, and other positions ." [Additional note] It is unclear how "Imayoshi" is pronounced. Other attempts have been made to pronounce it as "ima-mairi," "imayoshi," "imarō," "ima-ōmitakara," "konra," "gonryō," and others, but there is no consensus.
