Children's Country - Children's Country

This amusement park stretches from Nara-cho, Aoba-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, to Miwa-cho, Machida, Tokyo. It was built under the management of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (now the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) with donations collected from around the country to commemorate the marriage of Crown Prince Tsugunomiya (now Emperor Akihito), and opened in 1965 (Showa 40). It boasts a vast site area of ​​about 1 million square meters within the Tama Hills. Taking advantage of the hilly terrain and natural forests, it has created a freedom plaza, a ranch, a swimming pool, a skating rink, a lake, a children's park, a children's zoo, a cycling course, and more, aiming to promote recreation and education. To get there, take the Tokyu Dentetsu Kodomo-no-Kuni Line from Nagatsuta Station, or take a bus from Odakyu Dentetsu Tsurukawa Station.

神奈川県横浜市青葉区奈良町から東京都町田市三輪(みわ)町にわたる遊園地。継宮(つぐのみや)皇太子（現、明仁(あきひと)上皇）のご成婚記念に全国から集められた寄付金をもとに厚生省（現、厚生労働省）の管理で建設、1965年（昭和40）に開園した。多摩丘陵内に約100万平方メートルもの広大な敷地面積を誇る。丘陵地形や自然林を生かして、自由広場、牧場、プール、スケート場、湖、児童公園、こども動物園、サイクリングコースなどがつくられ、レクリエーションと教養の増進に役だてようとしている。長津田駅から東急電鉄こどもの国線を利用するか、小田急電鉄鶴川駅からバスの便がある。
