Kotaniwatari - Crossing the kotani

An evergreen fern of the Acanthaceae family. It grows in bunches of slender, simple leaves from a short rhizome, and the base of the leaf blade is heart-shaped and spreads out to form ear-like leaves. On both sides of the midvein, there are long, oblique groups of sporangia, and the envelope is of the same shape. It is found in the cool temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere.
