A town in Kurate County in the midstream of the Onga River in north-central Fukuoka Prefecture. The main settlement is Katsuno, which is on the Chikuho Main Line. Industrialization is currently underway with the creation of industrial parks. The Heisei Chikuho Railway runs through the town. 14.18 km2 . 8,602 people (2010).
