Cosmos Satellite

Japanese: コスモス衛星 - コスモスえいせい
Cosmos Satellite
A series of artificial satellites from the former Soviet Union and Russia. The first was launched on March 16, 1962. It was announced as a plan for scientific observation of outer space, including the ionosphere, radioactive belts, cosmic rays, solar radiation, and meteor dust, but it is believed to have also included development experiments for weather satellites, communication satellites, manned satellites, and reconnaissance satellites, as well as orbital nuclear weapon tests. It has included several simultaneous launches of satellites, such as the triplet satellites 36, 37, and 38 launched in August 1964, and in October 1967, the world's first successful automatic docking was achieved between 186 and 188. In 1981, an attack experiment was conducted between the anti-satellite test satellite (killer satellite) 1258 and the target 1241. In the first half of 1989, it exceeded 2000 satellites, and launches have continued even after it became Russia.
