Mount Koga - Helmet Mount

...The foothills that formed at that time have been deeply carved into radial valleys over the years, but remain widely on the northern and eastern slopes. The upper part of the old Daisen mountain later collapsed to form a caldera, and the present-day Funakamiyama, Yahazugayama (1,359m), and Kabutogaseyama (1,320m) are the outer rim of the caldera. The main part of the new Daisen is Misen, which erupted into the caldera, and is a huge lava dome about 5km in diameter made of biotite hornblende andesite.
