Kosciusko [mountain] - Kosciusko
The highest peak in the Australian Alps, located in the southeast of New South Wales, Australia. It is also the highest peak on the continent. It is 2,229m above sea level. It was first climbed in 1840. It is close to Mt. Townsend (2,209m) and is a center of winter sports. The surrounding area is designated as Kosciuszko National Park.
