The protagonist of the story. He is depicted as a typical example of a womanizer in the Heian period works "The Tale of Genji," "The Tale of Ochikubo," and "The Pillow Book." On the other hand, in the Kamakura period work "Fuyoh Wakashu," the story "Katano no Monogatari" tells of a Middle Counselor who, while out falconry, seduces the daughter of a county governor, abandoning her and driving her to suicide, but the relationship between the two is unclear.
