Mr. Go

Japanese: ゴ氏 - ゴし

A local feudal government in the 10th century when Vietnam tried to become independent from China. Also written as Ngù. In 930, the Quc clan was defeated by the Southern Han, and Vietnam was again under Chinese control. The following year, a former general of the Quc clan, Duong Dinh Nghe (Yang Tingyi), rose up in revolt, defeated the Han generals, and regained independence. In 937, however, the Fang General Kieu Cong Tien (Qiao Gongxian) killed Duong Dinh Nghe and achieved independence. In response, a former general of the Duong clan, Ngù Quyen (Wu Quan), raised an army in 938, defeated Kieu and the Southern Han army that was helping him at Bach Đàn Giang (White Fuji River), and in 939, he made Loa Thanh (Lucifer City) his capital, ascended to the throne and took the name of King Ngù.

10世紀，ベトナムが中国から自立しようとした時期の土豪政権。呉氏とも書く。930年クック(曲)氏が南漢に敗れ，ベトナムは再度中国の支配下に入るが，翌年クック氏の旧将ズオン･ディン･ゲ(楊廷芸)が決起して漢将を敗走させ自立を回復した。しかし937年には牙将のキエウ･コン･ティエン(矯公羨)がズオン･ディン･ゲを殺して自立する。これに対しズオン氏の旧将ゴ･クエン(呉権)は938年に兵を挙げ，キエウとこれを助ける南漢の軍をバクダンザン(白藤江)に破って，939年ロアタイン(螺城)に都し，即位してゴ王と称したといわれる。
