Chinese woodcarver from Guangdong. He studied at the Lu Xun Academy of Art and later became a professor in the printmaking department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His woodcarvings depict peasant life in a simple style that focuses on lines, and became a typical example of a style unique to the north of China.
