Cancer of the anal region. The anus is the lower end of the rectum, but because it has a complex structure different from the rectum, anal cancer is treated as a disease independent of rectal cancer. The incidence rate is relatively low, accounting for 3-8% of all colorectal cancers. Treatment involves rectal resection with adequate dissection of the perineum and lymph nodes, taking into account the characteristics of lymphatic flow and the tendency for surrounding areas to infiltrate.

肛門部の癌。肛門は直腸の下端であるが，直腸とは異なる複雑な構造をしているので，肛門癌は直腸癌から独立した疾患として取扱われている。発生頻度は比較的低く，全大腸癌の3～8%である。治療は，リンパ流の特徴と周囲浸潤傾向を考慮し，会陰部ならびにリンパ節の郭清を十分に加えた直腸切断術を行う。
