1445‐1510 German preacher. Raised in Kaisersberg in Alsace. Became a preacher in Strasbourg in 1477, and became chaplain to Emperor Maximilian I in 1501. He was on friendly terms with Wimpfering and S. Brand, and was not afraid to criticize the corruption of the church, greatly influencing people with his popular sermons.
