The Japanese Grammar Dictionary

Japanese: 広日本文典 - こうにほんぶんてん

A grammar book. One volume. Written by Otsuki Fumihiko. Published in 1897 ( Meiji 30 ). It consists of three parts: a section on characters related to kana and kanji, a section on words that discusses the eight parts of speech, and a section on sentences that explains subjects, predicates, and modifiers. It is a single volume of the "Grammar Guide" that was attached at the beginning of "Genkai." There is also one "Additional Notes" volume of examples and explanations. It became the basis of modern grammar as a subject.

文法書。一冊。大槻文彦著。明治三〇年（一八九七）刊。仮名、漢字に関する文字編、八品詞を論じた単語編、主語・述語・修飾語などを説いた文章編の三編から成る。「言海」の巻頭に付した「語法指南」を単行させたもの。例証、解説の「別記」一冊がある。近代の教科文法の基礎となった。
