...Dance is the source of all arts that are expressed through the body. It is almost impossible to give a definition of dance in one word, but dance scholar Andrei Ya. Levinson says that "dance is a continuous movement of the body moving in a pre-calculated space according to precise rhythm and conscious dynamics," which is quite appropriate. Dance was extremely important in the religion of primitive peoples.
