Street talk of Yomiya rain - Kodan Yomiya no Ame

Japanese: 巷談宵宮雨 - こうだんよみやのあめ

Kabuki kyogen. Written by Uno Nobuo. 2 acts. First performed at the Tokyo Kabukiza in September 1935. The cast includes Onoe Kikugorou VI as Tatsuta, Otani Tomoemon VI as Torafugu (tiger pufferfish), Onoe Taganojo as Taju's wife Oichi, and Onoe Kikunosuke as Tatsuta's daughter Otora. Taju, the tiger pufferfish, has his eye on the large sum of money his uncle Tatsuta has and tries to take Tatsuta with him, but when his goal is not achieved, they get into a fierce argument. Finally, Taju poisons Tatsuta and dumps his body in the river. The ghosts of the dragons capture and kill Taju's wife Oichi, and Taju is eventually lured by the ghosts of the dragons and falls into the river.

歌舞伎狂言。宇野信夫作。2幕。1935年9月東京歌舞伎座初演。竜達を6世尾上菊五郎，虎鰒（とらふぐ）の太十を6世大谷友右衛門，太十女房おいちを尾上多賀之丞，竜達娘おとらを尾上菊之助など。虎鰒の太十は，伯父竜達のもつ大金に目をつけて竜達を引きとるが目的が果たされず，激しい口論となる。ついに太十は竜達を毒殺して川の中へ死骸を捨てる。竜達の亡霊が太十女房おいちをとり殺し，太十はやがて竜達の亡霊に誘われて川の中へ落ちていく。
