A province in China in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Its capital is Nanchang. It is bordered by the Yangtze River to the north, mountains to the east, south, and west, and the Kan River flows north through the center and enters Lake Hayang. It has a hot and rainy climate. Transportation is by water on the Yangtze River and Lake Hayang, and the Zhejiang-Nanxun Railway, and highways are relatively well developed. It produces rice (70% of the cultivated land, around Lake Hayang), cotton (northern), tea (northern), hemp, tobacco, etc., and is also rich in timber (southern). Tungsten ore is produced worldwide (southern), and coal (Pingxiang, etc.) and iron are also produced. Machinery, spinning, weaving, chemicals, and paper industries are still developing (Nanchang, Jiujiang, Kanzhou, etc.), and Jingdezhen's pottery is world famous. The province is also home to Jinggangshan and Ruijin, early revolutionary bases of the Communist Party of China. It has an area of ​​166,900 km2 and a population of 48.04 million (2014).
