A samurai family that served as stewards for the Ashikaga family from the Kamakura to the Nanboku-cho period. Takashina lineage. Prince Takechi's descendant Koreyori was called Otaka no Taifu, and his son Korezane was called Taka Shingoro. In the late Heian period, they expanded into the eastern provinces. During the reign of Korenaga, they served Ashikaga Yoshikane. Ashikaga Ietoki's letter was addressed to Moroji (Nan Taiheiki). During the Nanboku-cho period, Moroshige's sons Ko no Moronao and Ko no Moroyasu played active roles as stewards for Ashikaga Takauji and head samurai officials. During the Kanno Disturbance, some of the clan's members, such as Otaka Shigenari and Minami Munetsugu, survived, but the mainstream of the clan came into conflict with Ashikaga Tadayoshi and was destroyed in 1351 (Kanno 2).
