Ex-rights - Kenri-ochi

This refers to the state in which, when a stock company increases its capital, the right to subscribe to new shares allocated to old shares or shares of another company is no longer available. When the right to subscribe to new shares resulting from a capital increase is no longer available, it is specifically called ex-rights. As with the determination of ex-dividends, the ex-rights date is generally four days before the allotment date in regular trading. The last day with rights is the day before the ex-rights date. The ex-rights stock price falls in proportion to the premium of the stock at the time. In a broad sense, it can also be referred to as ex-dividend (a state in which the right to receive dividends has disappeared).

株式会社が増資する際に、旧株式に割り当てられる新株式あるいは別会社の株式などの引受の権利がなくなった状態をいう。増資新株の引受権がなくなった場合は、とくに新株落ちとよばれる。権利落ち日を決定するには、配当落ちの決定と同じく、普通取引では一般に割当て日の4日前となる。権利付きの最終日は権利落ち日の前日である。権利落ちの株価はそのときの株式のプレミアムに見合って下落する。なお、広義には配当落ち（配当受領権のなくなった状態）を含めていう場合がある。
