A medieval samurai of Kai. A branch of the Takeda clan. It began when Yukitada, the second son of Ichijo Jiro Tadayori, the son of Takeda Nobuyoshi, obtained Amari Manor in Koma County, Kai Province, settled there, and took on the name of the Amari clan. Yukitada was captured by Minamoto no Yoritomo and executed in 1185 (Bun'ei 1), but his descendants inherited Amari Manor for generations and inherited the position of Takeda clan elder. Ichirenji Temple death registers show several people with the surname Amari from the late 15th century onwards. One of them died on October 17, 1515 (Eisho 12), and is thought to have been killed in battle when Takeda Shingen attacked Oi Nobutada at Ueno Castle in Nishi County.
