Kunigami

Okinawa Prefecture, Okinawa Island, north of Mt. Yomitan (201m) near the Ishikawa Isthmus, in the central part of Okinawa Island, accounts for two-thirds of the island. The center is Nago City. Also known as Yanbaru, most of the area is mountainous and blessed with nature, with many scenic spots, but compared to the area south, "northern development" is in demand. 沖縄県，沖縄島中部，石川地峡近くの読谷岳（よみたんだけ。201m）以北，全島の 3分の2を占める地域。中心は名護市。山原（やんばる）と呼ばれ，ほとんどが山地で自然に恵まれ，景勝地が多いが，以南の地域に比して「北部開発」が求められている。
