Arrest - Kenkyo
〘 noun 〙 The act of arresting a criminal suspect and carrying out an investigative procedure by a judicial police agency. In a broader sense, it also includes cases where a case is referred to the prosecutor's office or a minor offense is dealt with. *From "Then" (1909) Natsume Soseki, Vol. 8 "The public began to hype this up as a major scandal. One newspaper called it the "Kenkyo" (the investigation into Britain) ."
