A collection of translated poems by Horiguchi Daigaku. Published by Daiichi Shobo in 1925 (Taisho 14). It is made up of selected works from previously published translated poetry collections "Yesterday's Flowers" (1918), "The Lost Jewel" (1920), and "Saman Selections" (1921), as well as new translations. It contains 340 works by 66 poets, ranging from the Symbolist movement to the early 20th century modernists. It is particularly significant for introducing the most avant-garde poets of the time, such as Apollinaire, Cocteau, Jacob, and Salmon. The translated poems, which make full use of all kinds of words, both old and new, both soft and hard, in both literary and colloquial language, became a "good sample book" that conveyed the essence of modern French poetry, and became a source of Showa poetry, continuing from "Poetry and Poetics" to postwar poetry.
