Taihu stone

Japanese: 太湖石 - たいこせき

〘Noun〙 A type of limestone. It is named after the Taihu Lake in China. It is also found in Dongting Lake and other places, and those with strange shapes caused by water erosion are used for decoration in gardens and flower pots. In Japan, it is found in Myojoyama, Gifu Prefecture. *Enki (1900) by Nagai Kafu, 1 "Under the Taihu stones, which are stacked high and have interesting shapes" [Old Book of Tang - Biography of Bai Juyi]
