〘 noun 〙 A house whose business is to provide lodgings. A geshuku dokoro (a boarding house ). A geshuku yado (a house where people live). ※Gan (1911-13)〈Mori Ogai〉 1 "Because he lived next door to the protagonist of this story, separated by only a wall, in a boarding house called Kamijo ."
