A general term for plants with differentiated vegetative organs such as stems, roots, and leaves. It was first used by Austrian SL Endlicher (1804-49) in his book "Genera of Plants." It groups together seed plants, ferns, and mosses, which have vascular bundles and complete reproductive organs. However, the vascular bundles of mosses have little anatomical homology with the vascular bundles of ferns, making it difficult to group them together in systematic taxonomy. L. Endlicher(1804―49)が著書『植物の属』で最初に用いた。
