Keihin Express Railway

A private railway company. The Daishi Electric Railway was established in 1898, and the following year it began operating between Rokugobashi and Kawasaki Daishi, changing its name to Keihin Electric Railway. In 1925, the Shonan Electric Railway was established, and in 1938, the Shonan Peninsula Motor Vehicle was established, merging the two companies in 1941. In 1942, it merged with Odakyu Electric Railway to form Tokyo Yokohama Electric Railway, becoming Tokyu Corporation. In 1948, it separated from Odakyu Electric Railway to form the current company. It has lines in the Keihin and Miura Peninsula areas, and has a mutual interchange with the Toei Subway Asakusa Line at Sengakuji Station, and a connection with Keisei Electric Railway at Oshiage Station, with direct service between Oshiage and Miura Kaigan. In addition to its electric railway and bus businesses, it has also expanded into real estate, hotels, and leisure. It also has affiliated companies such as Keikyu Kogyo, Keikyu Kaihatsu, and Keihin Department Store. The company's routes are the Main Line (Sengakuji - Shinagawa - Uraga 56.7km), the Kurihama Line (Horinouchi - Misakiguchi 13.4km), the Airport Line 6.5km, the Daishi Line 4.5km, and the Zushi Line 5.9km, with a total operating mileage of 87km and a total bus operating mileage of 3948.5km. The company's business activities are railways 45%, automobiles 14%, real estate sales 13%, rentals 8%, hotels 14%, and leisure and others 6%. 私鉄会社。 1898年大師電気鉄道設立，翌年六郷橋－川崎大師間の営業を開始し，京浜電気鉄道と改称。 1925年湘南電気鉄道，38年湘南半島自動車を設立し，41年両社を合併。 42年小田急電鉄とともに東京横浜電鉄に合併して東京急行電鉄となる。 48年同社から分離して現社設立。京浜，三浦半島方面に路線をもち，泉岳寺駅で都営地下鉄浅草線と相互乗入れし，押上駅で京成電鉄と連絡，押上－三浦海岸間が直通運転されている。電鉄，バスを主体に不動産業，ホテル，レジャー産業にも進出している。また京急興業，京急開発，京浜百貨店などの関連会社をもつ。路線は本線 (泉岳寺－品川－浦賀 56.7km) ，久里浜線 (堀ノ内－三崎口 13.4km) ，空港線 6.5km，大師線 4.5km，逗子線 5.9kmで，全営業キロ数は 87km，バス全営業キロ数 3948.5km。事業内容は，鉄道 45%，自動車 14%，不動産販売 13%，賃貸8%，ホテル 14%，レジャーほか6%。年間営業収入 3003億 7700万円 (連結) ，資本金 319億 9800万円，従業員数 4378名 (1999) 。
