Police Academy - Keisatsu Gakko

Schools that educate and train police officers and palace guards. Police schools include (1) Prefectural Police Schools, (2) Metropolitan Police School, (3) Hokkaido Police School, (4) Palace Police School (1 school), (5) Regional Police Schools (7 schools), and (6) National Police Academy (1 school). (1), (2), and (4) provide basic education and training for newly recruited constables and palace constables (developing their character as healthy members of society and cultivating the knowledge and skills necessary for field police activities). (3) is aimed at new recruits and junior and mid-level executives, while (5) is mainly aimed at junior and mid-level executives. (6) provides executive training mainly to those who have passed the sergeant and assistant inspector examinations.

警察官・皇宮護衛官の教育訓練を行う学校。警察学校には(1)府県警察学校、(2)警視庁警察学校、(3)道警察学校、(4)皇宮警察学校（1校）、(5)管区警察学校（7校）、(6)警察大学校（1校）がある。(1)(2)(4)は新たに採用した巡査・皇宮巡査の基礎的教育訓練（健全な社会人としての人格形成、外勤警察活動に必要な知識・技能の養成）を行う。(3)は初任者および初級・中級幹部、(5)はおもに初級・中級幹部を対象としている。(6)は主として巡査部長および警部補試験に合格した者に対する幹部教育を行う。
