Also known as the Black Hundred. A general term for the far-right, violent groups in the final days of Imperial Russia. Organized by small city businessmen during the revolution of 1905, and led by the reactionary ruling class, they carried out oppression of revolutionary and labor movements, terrorism, and persecution of Jews.
