Kaaaan - Kaaaan

...This means a person who was entrusted with secular rule by the caliph, who controlled the secular and religious aspects of the Islamic world. In the Mongol Empire, the rulers of the various royal families who constituted the empire and were allowed to divide and rule the regions were given the title of khan, such as Ilkhan and Chagatai Khan, but the supreme ruler of Karakorum on the Mongolian plateau who stood above them was called qāān (Khan of khans) or khāqān (Khan of khans). After the 14th century, after the Mongol period, khan lost its original meaning, and the title came to be used easily even by those who were not chiefs.
