This manor inherited the name of the ancient Kunita district of Karita County in Sanuki Province, and its relict land area is now Kunita Town, Kan'onji City, Kagawa Prefecture. It was the territory of Hiyoshi Shrine in Omi. In 1250, one of the new territories handed down from Kujo Michiie to his grandson, Minister of the Right Kujo Tadaie, was Paku (Kunita) Manor, which was donated to Hiyoshi Shrine as a memorial service. In 1256, an inspection was carried out and a four-year notice was issued, finalizing the area of the manor. At the end of the Kamakura period, a dispute over the inheritance of the manor arose among the members of the Shukube clan, the family of Hiyoshi Shrine's shrine officials. In 1400, Hosokawa Yorinaga was granted one bu of the Kunita Jito position, and the land became the property of the Hosokawa clan. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
