Gamelan Angklung - Gamelan Angklung

...In western Java, angklung is generally accompanied by drums, gongs, oboes, or bamboo flutes (gamelan), and the angklung player dances enthusiastically and comically. In eastern Bali, gamelan-angklung, which includes metal percussion instruments, is an essential part of village and temple ceremonies. In eastern Java and parts of Bali, the bamboo flute is often called the bamboo flute.

From [Gamlan]

…There are various kinds of gamelan depending on the size of the ensemble and the types of instruments that make up the ensemble, and the name of the main melodic instrument or a word that describes the characteristics of the music is added to the end of gamelan. For example, gamelan angklung (bamboo percussion instrument) and gamelan kebyar (meaning "flash of light"). In the narrow sense, gamelan refers to a large-scale ensemble that mainly uses bronze percussion instruments as melodic instruments.
