Also known as scrap iron. Scrap includes scraps from obsolete steel products and scraps generated during processing. It is important as a raw material for steelmaking. Scrap is divided into self-generated scraps generated during the steel manufacturing process, processed scraps generated at steel-using factories, and city scraps collected from within the city.
