Irish Sea - Irish Sea

Japanese: アイリッシュ海 - アイリッシュかい(英語表記)Irish Sea
Irish Sea - Irish Sea
Also known as the Irish Sea. The sea between the islands of Ireland and Great Britain. It is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the North Channel to the north and St. George's Channel to the south. As it is part of the continental shelf, it is generally shallow, with an average depth of about 60 m and a maximum depth of about 273 m. The main island in the sea is the Isle of Man. The coastline is marked by trumpet-shaped estuaries, which provide good harbors for ocean-going ships. In some places, the tidal range is relatively large, reaching several meters. This sea is a passage for cargo ships connecting the large industrial areas of Lancashire and the Midlands in England with North America, and there is a lot of ship traffic. The largest trading port on the coast is Liverpool.
