Compulsory execution based on monetary claims (Civil Execution Law, Article 43 et seq.). Depending on the type of debtor's property that is the subject of execution, it can be divided into tangible movable property execution, property right execution, real estate execution, and ship execution, but basically, it takes three steps: seizure, liquidation by auction or other means, and satisfaction of the creditor with the proceeds (dividend). In contrast, execution based on claims other than monetary claims is called non-monetary execution (Civil Execution Law, Article 168 et seq.). This is broadly divided into execution of claims involving the delivery or eviction of property, and execution of claims involving the debtor performing a pure act (including omission) unrelated to property, and the general consensus is that direct enforcement is used for the former, and indirect enforcement or substitute execution is used for the latter.
