A national park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, United States. Established in 1940. Adjacent to Sequoia National Park to the south, it covers an area of 1,863 km2. It is centered on the west-flowing Kings River and its associated Kings Canyon, and is characterized by glacial landforms, abundant wildlife, and giant sequoia forests (Redwood Mountain Grove and General Grant Grove).
